ENID -- Duron Lewis is contributing to preserve the history of Enid.
The Enid News, and Eagle, report that Lewis' artwork depicts the history will be on display this weekend during the celebration of the 120th anniversary of the Land Run of 1893 that resulted in the settling of the area. This artwork by Duron Lewis recreates a scene from a photo of the 1906 Enid Firehouse at Grand and Maine. (Enid News and Eagle photo)
The 7-foot-6-inch by 10-feet-6-inch mural by Lewis has 30 images
that carry through the mid-1900s.
